These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Beamtendon website and any program, service or piece of content we provide through it. By browsing the site or signing up for a program you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the site.
1. About us
Beamtendon is a small studio operating from 13 N Collins St, Chicago, IL 60607. References to "we", "our" and "us" in these Terms mean the studio. References to "you" mean any individual or organisation that accesses the website or our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old to purchase or enrol in a program. By using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
3. The information we publish
The articles, frameworks, checklists and other content on the site are provided for general informational purposes only. We work hard to make them accurate, useful and current, but they are not professional, clinical or legal advice. You remain responsible for the choices you make based on what you read here.
4. Programs and bookings
4.1 Enrolment
A program is booked when we confirm your registration in writing. Until that confirmation, places are not guaranteed even if payment has been initiated.
4.2 Pricing
Prices shown on the Programs page are in United States dollars and exclude any applicable state sales tax. Taxes are calculated and displayed before payment.
4.3 Scheduling
Cohorts begin on the dates published on the Programs page. We may, on rare occasions, reschedule a cohort due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In that case we will offer you the choice of a later cohort or a full refund.
4.4 Conduct
Programs are conducted in small, respectful groups. We expect every participant to treat facilitators and peers with kindness. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behaviour is harmful to the group, with refund handled in line with our refund policy.
5. Intellectual property
All text, layout, graphics, logos and program materials on this site are the property of Beamtendon or our licensors. You may view and print materials for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, translate or republish them without our written permission.
6. Your use of the site
You agree not to use the site or any of our services in a way that:
- Violates any applicable local, state, national or international law.
- Attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure.
- Introduces viruses, malware or any other harmful code.
- Interferes with another user's experience of the site or our programs.
- Harvests personal information of other visitors or participants.
7. Third-party links
The site may include links to third-party websites for reference or convenience. We do not control these websites and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices. Visiting them is at your own discretion.
8. Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the site, the accuracy of the information, or the results you may obtain from using our programs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising from your use of the site or any program purchased through it will not exceed the amount you paid us for that program in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages such as lost profits or business interruption.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand made by a third party arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these Terms or your violation of any rights of another person.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page and is identified by the "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes we will display a short notice on the home page so you have the chance to review them before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
